3 May - 15 June 2014 : Opening 6pm Friday 2 May 2014
The late Kevin Tester was a well-known figure in the Upper Hunter and New England regions. Known to many as a respected bank manager in both Denman and Muswellbrook, Kevin was also known an innovative and creative photographer.
From the early 1950’s Kevin Tester exhibited, won awards and had his photographs published. Kevin’s work reflects the concerns, the changes and the pursuits of a regional photographer in Australia in the second half of the 20th Century; his work is also idiosyncratic of restlessness and a striving to find a deeper meaning to life through the lens of the camera.
The Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre is indebted to the Tester family, especially his widow Marlene and his son Paul for their generosity in allowing his works to come to the Arts Centre. A special thank you to the Muswellbrook & Districts Camera Club for their assistance with this exhibition.
Exhibiting from 3 May to 15 June 2014. Opening night 6pm Friday, 2 May 2014 with refreshments courtesy of Hunter Belle Cheese and the Mad Hatter’s Café of Muswellbrook.
