Transport for NSW have advised that they will be carrying out night work on the New England Highway and Lorne Street intersection, Muswellbrook from Monday 26 October
The NSW Government is funding the completion of work to finalise the upgrade and prepare for new traffic lights to be turned on.
Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which includes line marking, traffic signal work and traffic light installation, to improve safety at the intersection.
Works will be carried out between 6pm and 5am from Monday to Wednesday and are expected to be completed in two shifts, weather permitting.
It is expected that the traffic lights will be switched on during the morning of Wednesday 28 October, weather permitting.
How will the works affect you? The works will involve the use of machinery. Transport for NSW will make every effort to minimise noise by arranging the work in stages at different locations, completing noisier activities earlier in the night and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
Traffic changes: There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe. Lane closures, stop/slow traffic arrangements and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times.
Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs. For the latest traffic updates, call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
