The Local Sport Defibrillator Program 2019-2020 is now open, offering up to $1 million in grants to grass roots sporting clubs and councils towards the purchase of defibrillators.

With more and more people of all ages participating in amateur sport, it’s vital clubs and councils are equipped to respond to life-threating emergencies.

Sporting clubs across the state are encouraged to apply for grants for this potentially life-saving equipment.


The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program is a four-year $4 million NSW Government program delivered by the NSW Office of Sport.

More than 1,160 grants have been awarded to sporting clubs and councils across NSW since the launch of the program with almost $1 million in grants awarded during 2018/19.

Grants are available for up to 50% of the package.
