Ryan Derrington, Graffiti Officer and Senior Constable Sheree Gray promoting Graffiti Removal Day

The call is out for graffiti busters to sign up and once again join the fight against graffiti vandalism in Muswellbrook.

Graffiti Removal Day is on Sunday, 29 October, 2017; with an 8am meet up at the Aquatic Centre where graffiti busters will be allocated sites before getting to work.

Volunteers will be supplied with free cleaning material, paint, safety equipment and training on how to safely remove graffiti. Residents can register or suggest a clean-up site by completing the forms available on the Graffiti Removal Day web site: www.graffitiremovalday.org.au.

After the hard work is done all volunteers can enjoy a free swim and barbecue, provided by the Muswellbrook Rotary Club and Council.

Graffiti vandalism costs local businesses, households, NSW Government and Muswellbrook Shire Council millions of dollars each year and the annual removal day draws attention to the fight against graffiti and encourages people to get involved in the removal and prevention of graffiti.

The event, where the community can come together to join the fight against graffiti and make a real difference to the appearance of the local community, is supported by Muswellbrook Shire Council, Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce, NSW Police LAC, PCYC and Cummins Engineering.
